The Importance Of Reading I personally think that reading is an important activity in our life. Here are some reasons why I think so. Firstly, by reading we can get a lot of information about many things in the world such as science, technology, sports, arts, culture, and many more, thus expanding our knowledge. Secondly, reading can give us pleasure and entertainment. When we are tired, we can read books, magazines, or even go on the internet to find online books and sites to read and relax. Thirdly, we can immerse ourselves into what we are reading. For example, by reading a book about, say, someone's life experiences, we feel like we are really living in the person's shoes and experiencing those life events that the person had gone through, which can make us understand more about the information the writer had given us through the text.
